Evacuation Chair

An evacuation chair is a light weight wheelchair used to evacuate a physically disabled person from an area of danger, such as a burning building or building faced with a potential explosion.

The evacuation chair designed to allow an assisting person to move the disabled person down stairs more safely than could be achieved in a normal wheelchair.
Folded away and stored in the same way as any other safety equipment such as fire extinguishers or first aid kits, an evacuation chair doesn’t disrupt the existing layout of a building.
The evacuation chair provides the safest possible method for helping less able bodied people in an evacuation situation.

By increasing the speed with which evacuation can be achieved when a large number of stairs are involved, the evacuation chair proves less difficult for disabled visitors to descend stairs quickly.
